An aesthetically driven puzzle-based platformer

Game Details and Transcript of Review
What first attracted me to Ta’aroa was not the gameplay but rather the aesthetics. The game’s no-frills design and simple black-and-white color scheme at first struck me as a photograph and its negative, but the more I considered the game, the more it reminds me of a mirror.

A Dystopian Platformer whose BGM is Anything But

Game REview
Link: The Unleashed Nexus is a 3D action adventure game whose emphasis in the demo lies primarily on the adventure over action elements.
Its design will be familiar to players of DMC: Devil May Cry or Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 in that progression through each area requires special abilities that are gained, practiced, and (hopefully) mastered before being able to move on. This design feature has a long history, and can be seen in series such as the original Zelda, Metriod Prime, or The Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver games.

Game Review
My Name is a side-scrolling platformer with mechanics reminiscent of old school classics like the original Rygar or Wizards and Warriors. As of this demo, the story is almost non existent; as much as I can gather the female protagonist is trying to get her memories back.

A Vertical Platformer with RPG Elements
Game Overview
A video review of the Japanese indie game Magical x Spiral by developer Broken Desk. The game was picked up at Comiket 91, although I hear it is now available on Steam with an English translation. I've reached out to the developers for an interview, but have heard nothing back. If I do, I'll be sure to update accordingly.
